What to do when a member has passed away?
We understand how difficult it can be when a community member passes away. To honour their memory, we offer an “in memoriam” feature that respectfully preserves their contributions while deactivating their account.
What happens when a profile is memorialised?
- The member’s profile will display the word “remembering” above their username.
Their posts and replies will remain visible to the community.
The account will be deactivated, which means:
- It can no longer be contacted via private message.
- No email notifications will be sent to the account’s inbox.
This allows their voice and presence to remain part of the community without ongoing activity.
How to request a memorialisation
If you'd like to request the memorialisation of a member's profile:
- Please email support@healthunlocked.com
- We ask that requests come from the email address associated with the member’s account, to verify your connection.
Requests from trusted community moderation members are also considered.
