What is the criteria for banning a member?

Restricting a member removes them from a specific community, while banning removes them from HealthUnlocked entirely. Only the HealthUnlocked team can ban a member. Community moderation teams cannot apply a platform-wide ban themselves.

The reasons for banning a member from HealthUnlocked, based on our terms of use, include:

  • Violation of terms of use or community guidelines: Engaging in activities that breach HealthUnlocked's rules, such as posting prohibited content, harassment, or illegal activities.
  • Spamming: Repeatedly posting unsolicited or irrelevant messages, advertisements, or links.
  • Harassment or bullying: Engaging in behaviour that targets, intimidates, or threatens other members.
  • Hate speech: Posting content that promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • Inappropriate content: Sharing content that is obscene, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate for the community.

To request a ban from HealthUnlocked, please restrict the member from your community first, then contact the HealthUnlocked Support team.
