What are community badges?
Community badges are a way to recognize and differentiate members within a community based on their roles and contributions. There are two main types of badges: Role badges and Flair badges.
Role badges come with certain permissions and are crucial for the administration and moderation of the community. Here are the different types of Role badges:
- Partner: Members employed by the organization running the community.
- Who can assign: Partner
- Administrator: Members that administrate and moderate the community.
- Who can assign: Partner & Administrator
- Moderator: Members that help moderate the community.
- Who can assign: Partner & Administrator
Flair badges are custom badges that do not come with any special permissions. Flair badges are a great way to acknowledge the efforts of community members without assigning them administrative or moderation duties. Here is an example of a Flair badge:
- Ambassador: Members selected to help the community grow.
- Who can assign: Partner, Administrator & Moderator
